VaultSync

Use it when

• You keep an Obsidian vault on a home server or NAS with Syncthing and need it on iPhone or iPad without paying for Obsidian Sync or trusting iCloud
• Your notes must never touch a third-party cloud for privacy reasons, but you still want to read and edit them in Obsidian on iOS

• Syncing arbitrary folders outside Obsidian vaults
• Guaranteed instant background delivery; the optional paid Cloud Relay only requests a wake-up and iOS decides whether the app runs

Install

Install VaultSync from the App Store (id6761845197) on iOS/iPadOS 18+; keep Syncthing running on a Mac, Linux machine, NAS, or homeserver

Invoke

Open VaultSync, scan or paste the server's Syncthing Device ID (QR pairing), accept the connection in that Syncthing instance; VaultSync detects your Obsidian vaults and syncs them into Obsidian's iOS sandbox
